Beta Structural Engineers prepare Structural Condition Reports for residential buildings, industrial plants, commercial and office buildings, and public/governments buildings.

Beta qualified structural engineers can provide you with a structural condition report to assist you in understanding the cause of any defects, the actions required and the costs and risks associated. We have more than 15 years experience in preparing structural condition reports for residential buildings, industrial plants, commercial and office buildings, and public/government buildings.

We usually conduct a desk study followed by a detailed visual inspection. If necessary we may arrange for some testing (e.g. a trial pit or soil tests to establish ground conditions). In other cases we may request measurements to be taken periodically (e.g. crack monitoring to establish seasonal changes). The inspections are followed by a study of the observations and an assessment of their likely causes. We produce a report that includes recommendations for immediate action to ensure the safe use of the building. We also include any required further investigation or any required long term actions to safeguard the building long term future.

Our track record in assessing and repairing existing buildings has a list of historic buildings as well as some interesting challenges on period properties.
